Christian Education

We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.
— 2 Thessalonians 1:3

Christian Education

Because Christian formation is a life-long process, St. Philip’s, is firmly committed to providing a wide array of opportunities for theological learning and spiritual development to individuals of all ages. Indeed, Christian education has been and continues to be a central focus of the parish as we learn, we grow in fellowship with God, with one another, and in our sense of belonging to the community of faith.

No matter where you find yourself on the spiritual journey, we invite you to explore all that St. Philip’s has to offer: opportunities for learning and study, discussion and reflection. Some programs, such as EYC and the Sunday School, take place on a weekly basis during the academic year. Others take place periodically. However, during our season of pandemic, many of our formation opportunities have gone virtual. Check out the available opportunities for adult or children formation on our website or in the weekly e-news.

For additional information about education and formation opportunities for adults, contact the Interim Rector, Marian Fortner at marian@stphilipsjackson.com. For additional information about opportunities for children, youth, and families, including nursery care and Sunday School, contact our Director of Christian Formation Lisa Saucier, at lisa@stphilipsjackson.com.
